PURPOSE & GOAL
CLASS (California Landscape Architectural Student Scholarship) Fund, a not-for-profit organization, shall be at all times organized and operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Code.
CLASS Fund reached its thirty (30) year goal of attaining $1,000,000 in its Endowment and announced such achievement at the 2010 December Holiday Luncheon at Newport Beach Yacht Club. Now, after thirty years, CLASS Fund's next quest is Campaign $2Million!
CLASS continues to semi-annually bring together industry leaders for interaction and fellowship while generating funds. Annually $22,000 are awarded to students in landscape architecture, ornamental horticulture, and irrigation science at both campuses of Cal Poly Pomona and San Luis Obispo in addition to UCLA, UC Berkeley, and UC Davis.
As a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, the primary purpose of CLASS Fund remains focused on increasing their Endowment Fund and providing scholarships for landscape architectural, horticultural, and irrigation science students at five (5) California universities.
